Former U.S. President Barack Obama's blessing for 2020 graduates, the current epidemic, whether job-hunting or study is in crisis, but please don't forget the value you believe in, do what you think is meaningful, even adults do not know the answer, you must find.

As the epidemic continues to spread around the world and countries seek to reduce the risk of cluster infection through various advocacy, many events have had to be postponed or even canceled, and celebrity graduation speeches have been turned online as the U.S. graduation season approaches.

On May 17th former U.S. President Barack Obama posted a seven-minute graduation speech on Twitter, in which he points to the current crisis, whether it's job hunting or school, but don't forget what you believe in, to do what you think is meaningful, and answers that even adults don't know, must be sought by you.

Excerpts from Obama's graduation speech are three key points to share with you:

the old method, which has no longer been used in the absence of

Graduation means that you will be an adult, that you should begin to take responsibility for your life and decide what is more important: the career you desire, the family you want to group together, the beliefs you hold on to. But as far as the world is concerned, you may be a little afraid of the future.

For those who were going to college and graduated in the fall, it won't come true; if you're going to work while studying, it's going to be harder to get your first job. Even relatively affluent families are facing uncertainty;

All this means that you have to grow faster. The outbreak has shaken the status quo and exposed the country's long-standing problems, including huge inequality between the rich and the poor, and the racial disparity and the lack of basic medical care for those in need of care. After the outbreak, the younger generation realized that old methods no longer worked, and that how much money to make when everyone was suffering from hunger and disease was not the most important thing. A democratic society will continue to function only if it takes care of others and does not focus on itself.

Even adults don't have to take full responsibility.

Graduation also reveals another truth, when childhood comes to an end, some things are bound to be accepted. Do you think adults will naturally take responsibility once they become adults? The result is that they don't know the answers to all the questions, and many don't even ask the right questions.

So if the world is going to be better, it's up to you.

It may be a little scary for you to know the world like this, but I hope these words inspire you. Society is facing challenges, and no one can tell you, "No, you're too young to understand" or "that's what it's all about" because everything is uncertain, everything becomes confusing, and this is the world you should shape.

You're not going to be right, but believe you're going to be the solution, not the problem.

You have power in your hands, and I'm just an old guy, and I'm not going to tell you what to do, but I'll give you three tips.

First, don't be afraid. Americans went through many difficult times: slavery, civil war, famine, disease, the Great Depression and 9/11. Each time we are made stronger, usually because a new generation learns from our mistakes and tries to make society better.

Second, do what you think is right. Just doing things that feel good, it's convenient, it's easy, that's what kids think. Unfortunately, many adults, including all kinds of gorgeous titles and important work, still hold the same mind. That's why things always go wrong.

I want you to decide what values you should believe in, such as honesty, diligence, responsibility, fairness, generosity, and respect for others. You're not always right, you're going to make mistakes like we do. But if you listen to what you believe in, even if there are difficulties and inconveniences, people will eventually notice that they will be attracted to what you do. And you will be the solution, not the problem.

Finally, unite. No one does big things on their own, and when people feel afraid, they often become angry, saying that they should just take care of themselves, their families, or pray on the day of town. But if we are going to get through these difficulties, if we're going to create a world where everyone has the opportunity to find a job and go to college, and if we're going to save the environment and fight future diseases, we have to work together. To share the struggles of others, to speak out for the rights of others, to abandon old and divisive social thinking: sexism, racial bias, status, greed. Let the world go down a different path.

"But in fact, you don't need us to tell you what to do. In every way, you're already leading yourself. 」

Obama's speech to the 2020 graduates, the crisis at the moment, also symbolizes the beginning of change. Want to create a better world, never is a simple way, but if we adhere to faith, unity and cooperation, in the chaos of the day, do not forget the first heart, do not forget to love, do not forget to challenge themselves. We will make the future a different way.
