The Netflix documentary "Jeffrey Epstein: Philthy Rich" chronicles the history of sexual abuse committed by wealthy American businessman Jeffrey Epstein. Between 2002 and 2005, he sexually assaulted at least dozens of teenage girls at his Upper East Side mansion in New York and his home in Palm Beach, Florida, the youngest of whom was only 14 years old, according to police. Yet this may only be the tip of the iceberg of victimization.

"They're very good at normalizing the abuse; they create an atmosphere in which we're crazy families. Jeffrey Epstein: Upper Turbid Water

Netflix released a documentary in May 2020, "Jeffrey Epstein: The Water of the Upper Water," in which nine women take turns exposing the process of sexual assault. The film's story is set against the criminal truth of Jeffrey Epstein, the American billionaire. He was sentenced to 18 months of detention and work parole in 2008 for inciting underage girls into prostitution, and on July 6, 2019, he was again arrested on a minor case. However, when he was about to go to justice for a number of sexual offences he had committed in the past, he was found dead in prison on 10 August 2019, with an undetermined cause of death.

His death did not stop the damage. We returned to his Palm Beach mansion and private island to see at least 40 underage girls sexually assaulted, the youngest of whom were 14 years old, over a three-year period from 2002 to 2005. "The island has a nickname, the paedophile island.

Jeffrey Epstein is an enemy. He owns several mansions and a small island in the Caribbean, also known as the "paedophile island". He would trick underage girls who looked at him into his premises or island, instruct them to massage themselves, and then sexually abuse them.

The documentary finds survivors who have been to a mansion or island, and through their words, piecetogether a brutal and heinous scene of captivity:

"When we got to the U.S. Virgin Islands, there were (local) officials who came to greet ,......, they were greeted at the airport, as if he were a celebrity. He was followed by five girls, but no one said half a word. I think they know that the airport staff, the air traffic controller, the pilot, even the staff who unload edited their luggage are aware . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 」

Several survivors told the scene of the crime, almost like a thorough ness; Jeffrey Epstein and his assistants would look for teenage girls who had dreams but no resources on various occasions, telling them that someone wanted to help you, or that they could earn $200 for a massage with an old man, and lured them to Epstein's private home. They often lack economic foundation, broken families, sexual trauma and lack of self-confidence;

In the isolated island of, shouting is useless the endless victims, the youngest is only 14 years old

Epstein's abuse can last for years, not just by finding the perfect victim; he will persuade these girls to bring in more girls they know, by using money to entice "if you don't bring more girls, you won't get the $200 you said you did" or using the girls' low self-esteem praise to trick them into being willing to follow orders. As a result, more and more girls fall into The Good Cage of Epstein, and it is difficult to get out as soon as they get in:

"One day a female classmate in the class sent me a note asking me, you want to help the old man massage, earn some extra fast?" We drove for nearly 45 minutes to a mansion and before getting off the bus she said if someone asked, say you're over 18. 」

In addition, a telecommunications mechanic who worked on the island said he sometimes saw important people coming to the island, both political and business figures, and the British royal family. They "shared" the girls with Epstein, ravaging them on the beach, in the pool, in the rooms and in the massage beds, but no one seemed to stop them.

Epstein's sex-life private home or island is so secretive that some victims have said, "I'm stuck on a private island isolated from the world, so I'll just let it happen." And building a high wall is certainly not only a geographical factor, but also contains his high weight, no matter what do things can get away from the right background.

The young girls, who had been socially disadvantaged, knew that their calls were useless and worried that the police were only Epstein's assistants. As a result, the women in his family flow, political and business celebrities also flow, forming a seemingly indestructible system. And behind this, it also reflects the vices of the top of the power structure to harbour each other. (Extended Reading:"Gender Watch" 30 Years of Sexual Harassment by hollywood Movie Moguls? "He's gone, but the damage to us doesn't stop."

In 2019, after Epstein, 66, was finally charged, prosecutors said he sexually assaulted at least a dozen teenage girls at his Upper East Side mansion in New York and at his Home in Palm Beach, Florida, between 2002 and 2005, the youngest victim was just 14 years old. If convicted in the case, he faces up to 45 years in prison.

It can also be seen that the U.S. federal prosecutor's office in Manhattan said on July 8, 2019 that they had found a large amount of child pornography or other material in Epstein's Manhattan mansion, which was classified as young, named, nude and other. Some investigators pointed out that no one had read the case carefully and felt that it had been allowed to happen.

Girls who have been locked up in Epstein's sex-crime system can be sexually assaulted more than three times a day for up to a year or two. The rest of his actions as objects, his sex toys and the residual psychology of children's sexually suggestive photographs of the room, and the images, which will remain in the victim's mind for a long time.

Before his trial, however, Epstein was found dead in prison. In response to the news, one survivor said that "although he is dead, but there are accomplices", "no one has been brought to justice", "there are many victims who have not given up the charges."

This is not a single case. Looking back in recent years, the issue of child sex crimes has also been a constant issue in the world, such as the 2018 Australian Cardinal sin-state of two cases of sexual assault of a boy, the revelation in 2019 of the famous American r and B singer R. Kelly involving more than 13 cases of child sexual assault or seduction, the South Korean Room N incident, which came to light in March this year; (Extended reading:"How to report, change the URL or will continue" Room N in different forms staged in different places)

The road to repair is long, and through this documentary, it is expected that the case will not only attract more attention and allow accomplices to be punished in accordance with the law, but also include the revelations of gender and vulnerability issues in the society as a whole.

No one should be forced to carry a life-long wound because he is in a vulnerable position.
