World Vision has launched a 1,000-moment campaign to change the world, looking forward to finding funders for 1,000 vulnerable girls at home and abroad to help girls who are now in trouble ahead of this year's International Girls' Day. This time, we interviewed the spokesman Ren Rongxuan to talk about the importance of girls' strength.
The first time I saw Ren Rongxuan, it was at a press conference. Dressed in a simple T-shirt and denim skirt, her eyes were round and she had a smile on her face, and she had the temperament of a girl next door. "I want to go to school, I don't want to get married" when child marriage becomes a nightmare.
During his days as a spokesman for the program, Ren reached out to many girls at home and abroad. The closer she got, the clearer it became, whether it was the suffering of girls in the country because of their family's economic situation, or the forced acceptance of child marriage by girls abroad, which shocked her greatly.

According to the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), about 12 million girls under the age of 18 marry each year. So far, at least 650 million girls have not escaped child marriage.
Girls married before the age of 18 are less likely to continue in school and more likely to experience domestic violence. Teenage girls are more likely than women over the age of 20 to die from complications of pregnancy and childbirth, and are more likely to die in the stillbirth of a baby or within the first month of life.

"My dad used to share that in his day, education was the biggest force that changed the environment. And families are usually the first source of education for children.
